Colleen TaukeQuilting and piecing is mostly focused on extreme accuracy. Let’s “compose” an impromptu design. Learn some simple guidelines for success and then let’s cut some “freeform” gently curved lines that are very organic in nature. By pairing fabrics and rearranging alternating rows we can produce two similar blocks. Next, you will learn some tips for piecing this unusual curve, keeping in mind your quarter inch seam, while working with concave and convex shapes. Your original composition of rectangular blocks can then be sized to your particular project. An adventure awaits.
