Let's take a minute and talk about bindings. That's the final step to getting your quilt finished. Ashley normally sends me bindings so that I can um stitch them on by machine to her quilt. She likes to cut hers at two and a quarter. Um My personal preference is 2.5.

So I normally would cut about that length if you're using like a minky fabric on the back that's thick. You might want to go add like an extra quarter of an inch because you've got a lot of fabric to get around. Um You might want to use just whatever your final border print is in that quilt to finish it off or you could do something really fun. Like look at the colors in the quilt. Pull out a fun stripe that you could add and add a little pizza to your quilt.

So next time you're ready to finish up a quilt, maybe try a stripe or a print or something that will accentuate your quilt.
